It's Not Just the Way It Is

For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God. Psalm 18:30 NLT

My Beautiful Child,

I know it's hard. I know you don't want to think about it. Your loved ones walked away from Me, and it feels like they walked away from you too. You raised your children to know and love Me, but they still left. Now, what are you supposed to do? You've tried praying, but nothing changed. You love them, but they aren't listening, and it's easier to accept that this is just the way it is.

Listen to Me! Where your wayward one is now is not just the way it is! I have a plan and a purpose in all of it. I am the only One who can change a heart. You play a necessary part. That part is to never give in to complacency; and no matter what things look like on the outside, to keep praying and have faith. Stop reasoning. Reasoning can only take you so far. At the end of reasoning is faith. Faith isn't unreasonable; it's a step beyond reason. It's time to step into faith for your prodigal.

Faith will keep you motivated. Faith will make sure you don't stop believing in My greatness; My love; and My power. Faith will allow you to see the possibilities and imagine the end with Me. I know the end already. Is it possible for your wayward one to return? Of course, it is! You see? Faith isn't blind. You don't know that this is just the way it is. What if it isn't? What if faith is what takes you to a place of seeing? I want you to see! Not just what's in front of you...that takes no faith. I want you to see Me through eyes of faith.

When you bury your head in the sand, you can no longer see. The sand makes your brain foggy. You forget the promises I gave you, and cling only to what makes sense now. Get your head out of the sand and come to the table. You are invited by My Son, Jesus. Come and enjoy what He is offering...strength to persevere; peace that passes understanding, joy unspeakable; hope overflowing; promises that endure; and His presence at the table. He will tell you your situation isn't hopeless; your prodigal isn't too far gone; and that He is glad you are here with Him. You will remember that I have got this and that My promises are sure. He will remind you that I am for you and your prodigal, and not against you.

Your loving Father,

God

People will come from east and west and north and

south, and will recline at the table in the kingdom of God. Luke 13:29 BSB

For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ.

Sidewalk Prophets: Come to the Table

We all start on the outside The outside looking in This is where grace begins We were hungry, we were thirsty With nothing left to give Oh the shape that we were in Just when all hope seemed lost Love opened the door for us

He said come to the table Come join the sinners who have been redeemed Take your place beside the Savior now Sit down and be set free Come to the table

Come meet this motley crew of misfits These liars and these thieves There's no one unwelcome here, no So that sin and shame that you brought with you You can leave it at the door And let mercy draw you near

Just come to the table Come join the sinners, you have been redeemed Take your place beside the Savior now Sit down and be set free Come to the table Just come to the table

To the thief, to the doubter To the hero and the coward To the prisoner and the soldier To the young, to the older All who hunger, all who thirst All the last, all the first All the paupers and the princes All who fail you've been forgiven All who dream, all who suffer All who loved and lost another All the chained, all the free All who follow, all who lead Anyone who's been let down All the lost you have been found All who've been labeled right or wrong Everyone who hears this song

Just Come, come to the table Oh eh, come join the sinners you have been redeemed Take your place beside the Savior Just sit down and be set free Oh come on Just sit down and be set free Come to the table Come on now Come to the table You're welcome here
