Choose the Feet of Jesus

"Martha, Martha," the Lord answered, "you are worried and upset about many things, Luke 10:41

My beloved, you, too, are bothered by many things, many of which I have not asked you to take on. Like Martha, you are angry because things aren't going your way. Martha wanted her sister, Mary, to help her because she thought what she was doing was more important. She wanted everything to be perfect, and she felt Mary was being lazy. "Jesus, tell her to help me!" Martha snapped. Oh, how I appreciated Martha's love for Me. She wanted everything to be perfect. The problem was, I had arrived, and I wanted to spend time with them. I was not interested in the perfect meal. Martha let the distractions of the urgent keep her from enjoying My presence.

You love Me. I can see it in everything you do. Sometimes though, you lose focus and let the worries of your life keep you from enjoying Me. Instead, you spend your days thinking of ways to help Me with your problems and trying to make it perfect. You forget that I am here with you and inviting you to sit with Me and let the distractions go. I understand how difficult it is. You want to be a "doer" like Martha. I know you need to do something, and that's why I ask you to pray. That's how you can help. Praying is something we do together. I am not as interested in what you do for Me as what you do with Me.

When you become worried, that's your signal that something is off. When anger makes you lash out, that's the time to stop and come sit in My presence. I made you the way you are for a purpose. But it's for Me to let you know what and when I want you to do something. If I haven't given you anything to do, then it's because I have something better right now. Waiting can be hard for you, but not impossible. Come, sit with Me.

I invite you to do things with Me as opposed to doing things apart from Me. You do not need to live up to some image you think I have of the "perfect" you or the "perfect" life I expect. That's a lie. I love you the way you are now. I am not bound by time. I know you at every juncture of your life. I know how it ends. And just so you know, I feel the same way about your wayward one. I never stop drawing them. I see the end for them as well, and I am not finished yet. Nothing is wasted.

Give Me time. You know how long it takes you to grasp certain truths and I have not become impatient with you. You understand how difficult it is for you to lay down specific burdens and I don't shame you. If it is difficult for you and you are following Me, then you can see how it will take time for Me to get through to your loved ones. It is worth it though because I see them from the Father's perspective and I know their purpose.

So let them go. Give your prodigals to Me and come and sit at My feet and enjoy My presence!

With all My heart,

Jesus

She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet listening to what he said. Luke 10:39

but few things are needed--or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her." Luke 10:42

I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, 'My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.' Isaiah 46:10
