I Am The Answer
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and
the last, the beginning and the end.
Revelation 22:13
Prayer shows that you acknowledge Me. Intercession acknowledges that there is something you believe I can do for another that you can’t. But when you ask and don’t see the answer you are seeking, you can become disappointed and eventually discouraged. It can creep up on you and then it’s there and has you in its grip. What then? Bring it to Me. I love you unconditionally, I already see your heart and know how you feel. I am the answer. My throne is the best place for you to come. Picture yourself standing before my throne, feeling welcome and loved. Bring your disappointment and discouragement with you. Throw it down at my feet. Worship Me. Think of things you are grateful for. Now listen to Me as I tell you about your discouragement and how it happened. There may be a lie you are believing or a trigger. I know it all. I love you and want to have this relationship with you that is personal and safe. It is important that you understand what is going on inside you and see your problem from My perspective. I want you to know that there is something I can do about it. Disappointment and discouragement are feelings that all humans feel from time to time. It is normal and understandable. Think of the disciples who believed that I was the Messiah and hoped that I was the One who was going to redeem Israel (Luke 24:21). They couldn’t see what I see. My plan was so much greater. Think of Elijah who after the Mount Carmel miracles, became discouraged and wanted to die. He felt like His whole ministry was a waste. Nothing had changed. King Ahab and Queen Jezabel were still hard hearted and wanted him dead. Pay attention to how I ministered to him in his need (1 Kings 19). I want to do that for you as well when disappointment and discouragement set in. Think of Peter, after he realized he had just denied Me three times. He never thought that could happen to him (Matthew 26:75). But didn’t I use it for good? Didn’t I redeem the situation? Be honest with Me, even if you are angry. But always leave room for Me to minister to you or remind you of who I am. I am good, a stronghold in your time of trouble (Nahum 1:7). I am the One who gives you joy and peace and hope (Romans 15:13) in the midst of your trial. I am the One who redeems your life from the pit (Psalm 103:4). Learn to live out of two realities. One, life is hard, and two, I have a purpose here. Train yourself to live in both at the same time just as Paul did when he spoke of his reality of being hard pressed on every side, perplexed, persecuted, and struck down, but not crushed, despairing, abandoned or destroyed (2 Corinthians 4:8-9). Pay attention to what you are telling yourself. On the outside nothing may seem to have changed, but inside, you can have peace and joy and hope. You can live out of that place. You can stay in that place with Me by your side. I will hem you in—behind and before (Psalm 139:5). Do you see? I am the answer—to your waiting on your loved ones to return to Me. Whatever is going on in their life right now, I will use. Nothing is wasted! I love you!
