But if we hope for what we do not yet have,

We wait for it patiently.

Romans 8:25

Hope that is seen is no hope at all. God knows when and what will happen and He tells us to wait patiently. It will happen just as He has determined. Even when it seems to take too long in coming, keep waiting and keep praying. Once you have settled in your heart that God is in control and His plans will happen, peace will come. Stay in that struggle until the peace comes. It doesn’t mean we then sit back and do nothing. It means we pray and listen to Him and do what He says, not what we think is best. Don’t worry about what it looks like because God is not surprised by anything. He is God.

Hope that is seen is no hope at all…

Romans 8:24

For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false.

Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.

Habakkuk 2:3

I came across something I had written down when I asked him if there was anything He wanted to say to the group about waiting for it. This is what I heard:

Waiting is hard when you don’t see things from My perspective and when you aren’t trusting My plan. You take your eyes off of Me and get focused on what you want. What you want may be perfectly natural and good, but that doesn’t mean you understand the timing of what all is going on in the spiritual realm. Take comfort in who I am and the love I have for you and your prodigals. You all belong to Me. They may be oblivious to My plan or My presence, but that doesn’t make it less valid. I am not only capable of making My plan happen, I will make it happen. I am God and I have spoken. My words do not return void and will accomplish what I have planned for them. At the right time, they will see the salvation of the Lord. All your fighting is done in prayer for you are not fighting against flesh and blood, but against evil rulers and authorities and powers in the unseen world. They are spiritual in nature so your fight is spiritual in nature. Pray like each word you speak aloud in My Name is that wrecking ball hitting the wall of resistance; that each word uttered in My name is erecting spiritual roadblocks to keep the enemy from gaining new ground; that every word spoken in My name is like a hammer that smashes a rock to pieces and burns up all the lies they believe. This is the power of My word. When you pray it, My power is released. Just like I told the Israelites not to be afraid for the battle is Mine, so I tell you. I am fighting for you.

So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will

accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Isaiah 55:11

Now then, stand still and see this great thing the Lord is about to do before your eyes!

1 Samuel 12:16

You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions, stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you.

2 Chronicles 20:17

Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today.

Exodus 14:13

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
